The major achievements in John’s career are evidences of his leadership capabilities in the business and corporate world:
- In his first job as a Department Manager In Diethelm Singapore, John set up the Marine Department from scratch to make it the fastest growing profit center by achieving a sales of $2.5 million in the second year.
- As the General Manager of Materials Handling Engineering, he was instrumental in the company becoming public listed in 1989. Other achievements in this company included:
- Developing the first locally designed and manufactured Automated Guided Vehicle in Singapore;
- Setting up a new Standard Products Division that contributed more than 30% to the group turnover.
- As a Director of Apex Precision Engineering, John became the ISO Management Representative and brought the company to ISO 9001 certification in 1996.
John’s management and leadership capabilities are recognised even outside his business life:
- He has been the President of the Singapore Branch of the International Brotherhood of Magicians since 1993. He frequently uses magic in his lectures and presentations not only to enliven the audience, but to bring out important principles in a fun way. John’s articles on magic as well as magic tricks that he created were accepted and published in international magic periodicals.
- During his national service, John was conferred the Civil Defence Constituency Commander for Toa Payoh.

Simon Murphy is an accomplished trainer with extensive experience in Entrepreneurship, Business Management and Personal Development.
During his undergraduate days, Simon founded a business, Lockstock Couriers (Pty) Ltd that grew to employ over 15 people and boasted clients such as Ernst and Young, the South Africa Institute of Chartered Accountants and other leading firms. The pressures and multi disciplinary requirements of starting a business at a young age quickly distinguished him from his peers as he was thrust into the fiercely competitive world of business in Johannesburg, the economic capital of Africa.
Simon was later approached to take on a senior role at a Non Profit Organization in the city of Johannesburg. As the youngest person to take on this role in the organizations history, he was involved at top-level management of an organization and campus that included a school consisting of 700 students with over 100 staff members. His role included participation in the financial management of the organization, strategic direction and human resource responsibilities, amongst others.
He oversaw projects from planning to execution and evaluation, learning the dynamics of completing tasks within budget, time and resource restrictions. He was also placed in charge of project managing an international 5-day training conference for over 4000 delegates from 30 nations.
Much of his time has been spent understanding and developing people, through one on one coaching and mentoring, group training and public speaking. A natural leader, he has found leadership to be one of the passions of his life, and he has spent much of his time motivating, leading and developing those around him. For the last few years he has been engaged in Leadership Training throughout Africa, developing leaders and teaching leadership models. Rajan Ramchandani started his career in the financial service industry as a Financial Consultant in Dubai (UAE) in the mid 70's and soon climbed the corporate ladder to Vice President and Portfolio Manager.
Rajan is now based in Singapore and is actively involved in training, coaching and mentoring. As a speaker/trainer, he uses the 5000-year old Chinese acupuncture based therapy (but without needles) in his Stress Management workshop. This technique has proven to be extremely effective in helping people manage their stress in their lives , overcome their personal problems and enhance their future by working in the present.
Rajan speaks from his heart and connects with every participant at a very deep level. He has a giving nature and strongly believes that one must have a mind that is open to everything but attached to nothing. Dr Gian Casimir is Italian-Armenian-Irish genetically and he was born in India. He lived in Australia for 30 years and thus understands cultural differences. Gian specializes in cross-cultural management and has published several articles in international scholarly journals on research on, for example, cultural differences in leadership.
Gian has developed training and development programmes for large Australian and international firms including Telstra and Arrow Pacific Asia on a number of different topics including leadership, emotional wellbeing, customer service, motivation, communication, and organisational behaviour. His style can be described as profound, informative and humorous as he is able to connect deeply with his audience, who range from front-line staff to senior executives, in a way that is unique and enjoyable.
Gian uses a range of techniques including reflection, role plays, discussions and group presentations to help participants to gain insights into themselves. There is never a dull moment is his presentations due to his energetic and engaging style.
