Eugene has over 15 years’ experience in marketing, strategic communications and leadership. His expertise spans across media and investor relations, advertising and marketing communications, and regional cross-cultural leadership and change management.
During his career, Eugene has lived and worked in Asia’s two main financial hubs – Singapore and Hong Kong – and managed multi-cultural teams covering Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and India. He was responsible for recruitment, appraisals, budgeting, streamlining processes and spearheading large-scale special projects including regional investment conferences held in several cities. As a result, he has a strong grasp of cultural differences and has first-hand experience of managing diversity to increase team productivity.
Prior to corporate training, Eugene spent 10 years at the Singapore Exchange and global investment banks helping senior management from various industries strategise effective communication with their global shareholders. During this time, he was a guest speaker at investment conferences offering advice on communication best practices. In recognition of his skills, he received the prestigious Gold Award in Investor Relations from The Business Times.
Today as a trainer, coach and facilitator, Eugene inspires individuals and teams to maximise their personal effectiveness, communication, and leadership potential. He actively seeks to understand each participant’s challenges and effectively coaches them to fulfill their goals.
Eugene graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with a 2nd Upper Honours degree in Communications. He is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
